Rishi, a Partner under the Private Sector Department of Baker Tilly, is a Fellow Certified Chartered Accountants (UK) and holds the CPA (Certified Public Accountant of Kenya) qualification with extensive experience in financial audit, systems internal controls and asset verification. He has also carried out forensic assignments. He has over 16 year’s professional experience and has led audit teams on large assignments in the region during his time at Merali’s and previously when he was with DCDM Associates (Representing Arthur Andersen.

EXPERIENCE

He has been a team leader and involved in various assessments funded by government agencies, development partners such as World Bank, SIDA, DANIDA, EU, and UN agencies.

He is a qualified accountant with excellent skills in audit methodology and techniques that maintain the highest audit quality standards. Madhav is an accredited trainer for the ICPAK CPA Kenya office and donors and performs various trainings for its members. He is an expert and advisor to numerous donors in Kenya and Somalia.

INVOLVEMENT

At the current time he is handling multiple large-scale assignments and is current framework lead partner to UN Agencies (UNDP Kenya; UNICEF Kenya, UNFPA Kenya; UNICEF Somalia, UNICEF GF; UN Habitat; UNFPA Somalia; UNOCHA Somalia), Audit Framework Contractor (European Commission Kenya & Somalia; Embassy of Denmark; Embassy of Sweden; Japanese International (JICA); FMA fund managers (Adam Smith International; DAI; Trademark East Africa). Over 750 assessments (project based; partner based, special audits, micro assessments, full assessments, partial assessments, spot checks etc.) done in the last 5 years.
